I see.

I have a nice home on 6.17 acres, with 380 feet of high bank (read it doesn't flood) riverftont. A 2 bedroom (the upstairs can be converted to a bedroom if you like) custom home built in 2008, still has that new house smell. ICF construction, Hardieplank siding, geothermal heating and cooling, private well, septic system. Propane fireplace (set on a Pennsylvania blue slate hearth, with a beautiful maple mantle and stones we hand picked from the river on the wall. Jenn-Aire cooktop with a privately owned 500 gallon buried propane tank (you can shop around for the best prices when filling the tank, as opposed to being tied to whatever company you rent the tank from). 360 degree wrap around porch. 40x60 shop. Raised garden and a small fruit tree orchard.

We are getting ready to sell in a couple of years.

Looking to list at about $1,200,000US.

It could be yours.

Talk to your mortgage banker.

Simply beautiful place but no - too big, no - wanted municipal water and septic, no - wanted natural gas, and no - wayyyy too expensive for my blood.

Well, this should be our forever home so the last move before my kids have to heave my carcass into a wheel-barrow and dump me at a home for cranky old folk
We have started looking around for the same. Still no hurry at all, but it never hurts looking. If the perfect place should turn up there's no reason to wait, and the more time we spend looking the more time luck has to strike.

Beside, we have just helped the kids to move. They owe us one

Sorry, it would make the commute a pain.

But the price doesn't sound too bad - it's about what you'd have to pay for a 3 bedroom flat in our part of town.

At today's exchange rate, $1,100,000US is $1,475,925CDN.

Peanuts.
