As for "yellow jackets', more correctly called Vespula germanica and Vespula vulgaris, they make good photography subjects but are evil little nutters.

I don't get the issue here.
Landscaping is important.
A little shrubbery goes a long way to hide an ugly foundation.

Having wandered around unkempt gardens and gardens that were bare, I can say they both have their merits.

But I prefer a garden that has been allowed to grow naturally.

Provided it isn't allowed to go completely out of hand . . . . .
