Mrs Bob has stopped playing, ears saved!
She does play beautifully, and the piano had its yearly tuning recently.
My mother's mom always had a piano. She was always playing it, sometimes she would sit down and play as she was walking through the room it was in, for a minute or two, then go back about her daily routine.

In the evening after dinner, she would play and everyone would sit around and relax, listen, the kids playing Monopoly or some other board game.

Real quality family time.

Good wholesome living.

A fond memory of my youth, those times.

That would be about 60°F/15.6°C, right?

I mean, you get used to the bitter double digit negative zero temps, right? So when it does get to 60° that feels like tropic paradise compared to the cold.

It's all relative, right?

Applies to South Dakota as well.

If there's no wind, certainly. But with a bit of wind, like today, it needs to get to about 18C/65F to be comfortable.

Then again, over the years with travels to the Mother Continent I've developed a taste for more decent temperatures, 25-30C would be perfect.

Left?

Left?

This drill sergeant compliments the troops, by assuming they can work out for themselves that 'right' goes in between every 'left'.

Those who call 'left, right, left, right, left, right' insult their troops by assuming they need to be told every little thing, and are inviting a mutiny, just like Bligh got on the Bounty.

God Morgen! (that's supposed to be good morning in Norwegian, Mr Humble can correct me if I'm wrong)

We hit 91 yesterday, 2 degrees shy of tying the record.
With the increased humidity, it's starting to feel like summer, my least favorite time of the year.
Not that I like winter either.

Did it hurt?

Were there any injuries?

How much property damage?

I know, 20 questions, right?

That is correct (except, we don't capitalise nouns like they do in German).

God morgen! Or... god ettermiddag!

Ain't it glorious! We're up to 22C today, sunshine and a light breeze. A perfect day for another beer.

That's just part of being old and grumpy, Bob, nothing to worry about. I'm getting there, too.

We capitalize pronouns, i.e. Bob, Jim, Savoche, Racer, Charlie.

All other nouns are not capitalized unless they are the first word in a sentence.
