I'm getting really tired of this weather.
I'm considering moving to someplace where it doesn't rain as often; like the Olympic Peninsula, or Florida.
I find it difficult to believe, but according to Wikipedia, my town "has a mild climate and gets well below average rainfall relative to the UK. It does, though, experience occasional floods" I don't know... It's definitely cooler up here than where I used to live outside, and later in, central London. We get more snow in winter, too, though it hasn't been at all bad since I returned from the South (winters are milder than I remember as a kid). My perception is that it rains more often, and for longer - but now I'm wondering if that's just my tendency to bitch and moan, and I'd feel the same way no matter where I live At least the flooding doesn't affect me, as I'm on the very edge of town by elevated moorland...

Sorry, Jim, I didn't mean to imply that you might be the type to bitch and moan... Not in a million...

Three enjoyable days?!
I wish we'd had that many.
An above average good Scandinavian summer, that.

I'm sure you didn't, Mike.
Everyone here knows how easy going I am.
The last person to complain about anything.
Okay, maybe on rare occasions; such as days that end in y.

My long-suffering ex-wife frequently likened me to "Victor Meldrew", a fictional character in the British TV series "One Foot in the Grave". Frankly, I never understood the comparison... I'm English rather than Scottish, and I have more hair...

I haven't, and I'm not particularly inclined to, after reading that... but happy to be advised otherwise if you recommend...
