A bit late to be starting a garden, isn't it George?

I know you and Mrs. George went to Jellystone and all, but sheesh, half the growing season has passed.
Up here in the Great White North, the growing season is _just_ beginning

Any excuse to take a day off, screw around and not do any productive work, and get paid for it.

Oh yeah!

When the airplanes are coming in for a landing they are mostly gliding, so they produce less noise.

And I learned a new word today.

Psychrophilic.

Psyco for cold.

I guess that would be me.

I love snow skiing.

In fact I love playing in the snow period.

Skiing, snowmobiling, driving, camping, hiking . . . . . . . . .

Yep, I think I may be psychrophilic.
Me too!!

I like watching all the classes, but my favourites are at the heavier end... welterweight through cruiser / light-heavyweight. Pure heavyweight can be a bit slow (although I'm sure it doesn't feel that way inside the ring ), and often relies too much on outright power for my liking.

Sugar Ray was incredible, and rightly remains a boxing legend...
Hate to say, but I could not be bothered with any weight-class or style of "beat me up" sports...if a boxer falls in the forest, does anybody hear?

See, I'm not into the "beat me up" bit. I'd be delighted if protective headgear was mandatory in all boxing. The things I don't like about boxing are injuries and knock-outs. What I do enjoy is the craft, and the points-scoring shots... It might sound strange coming from a boxing fan, but I hate to see people get hurt...

Looking fine But I have to ask... why are two of the potatoes in foil, and two of 'em naked? If you tell me that different folks like the jackets done to a different texture, I'm going to feel very inadequate in my cooking skills (not for the first time)...

Brisket today, burgers tomorrow.
I'm so ashamed, no pork steaks this weekend.
My daughters rejected pork steaks and pork tenderloin. We get handmade tacos tomorrow.

Kids these days.

And your street address? For my sat nav?

Sweet potatoes... I blow hot and cold with them. I like them boiled and mashed, with butter and black pepper. Not so keen on them diced, but they barbecue quite well given enough time on a medium heat... I just wish they were a little less sweet... and then, I think, I may as well go with regular potatoes
We’ll see what Son#2 (my daughter’s husband) comes up with. I’ll either like it or smile and eat it.
