I have to add that I witnessed many of these displays of lack of skills regarding truck drivers.
This one:
I was fueling my truck at the Love's Truck Stop near Tonkawa, Oklahoma. A driver at the fuel lane adjacent to mine and I were chatting when we heard this horrendous BOOM!
The numbskull driving the Paschall Truck Lines truck had failed to allow for the trailer as he rounded the fuel island and caught the trailer tandems on the bollards that protect the fuel pumps from idiots like him.
Ruined the trailer, and the guy was under a load, so the carrier had to send an empty trailer and hire lumpers to cross dock the load by hand, then deal with the damage to the trailer.
And the next one:
I was at the Flying J Truck Stop in Post Falls, Idaho. On my way into the building to get a shower and this dipstick driving for CR England went by me in the parking lot, driving way too fast. Like the PTL driver, he failed to allow enough room for the trailer, and caught it on the end of the conveyor loaded on the truck to the left (you can only see the rear axles of the trailer it is on). I snapped a quick pic with my cell phone, and as I walked by the CR England driver hopped out of his truck, walked right up to me and said, "I just hit that thing!"
I said, "Yeah, I know, I just watched you go flying by me driving way too fast for a parking lot, and knew you were going to have a bad day."
Idiot.
