The car we got rid of a few years ago had clocked some 40,000 km in 12 years
So much cheaper to rent a car when we need to go far, or use one of the electric "city cars" for shorter errands.
40,000 klicks in 12 years.
About 3,333 klicks a year.
That's more than my race car has gotten in the 30 years I have owned it. I would wager that is more that it has gotten in the 48 years since it rolled off the assembly line.
But then it has only been driven on select weekends since it was made into a race car in 1979, in mostly 30 minute sprint races, about 60 to 70 miles each race.
