Fat Tuesday - what is that?

Is it a name for the day before Ash Wednesday?

I looked at the stats, saw I have no hope of a win, therefore I am about to head for bed. That unlimited attachment thing would have been sweet.
I just want my daily raffle ticket. That's all I'm aiming for.

That's right, you did say that. Didn't register to me what that meant at the moment.

Perhaps the place I snagged it doesn't allow hotlinking. Some people actually leave a redirect when others hotlink their pictures. Had that happen to me once, the results were, um, well, let's just say it wasn't pretty.

Either way, my phone just displays the little blue box with a question mark. Broken links or time outs both look like that.

Mardi Gras (French) translated to English is literally "Fat Tuesday". Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent, a time for fasting and penitence that lasts until Easter.

I saw the second picture as Nurse Ratched and did not see The Joker until you reposted it above.

Thank you. But I'm well aware of that. I grew up here with Mardi Gras. I'm not Catholic, but many people I work with are. I join them in Lenten fasting. (It's actually easier to give something up for Lent than it is to answer at least 10 people daily why I don't fast for Lent! )

You could have lent someone lentils for Lent.

Couldn't you?
