Our son from CO is in town, so we had all 3 kids here, spouses, and of course a very, very, active 1 year 7 month old grandson.
It was a great day!
Congratulations! Sounds like you had a good time. Did you cook any bacon? Hopefully you kept all you're eviL cameras away. Or is it or is it livE?

One of Mrs Bob's friends wants to celebrate her birthday by going axe throwing with a few friends, technically they're hatchets, the 'axes' not the gals.
I think 5 are going this Sunday, these gals are all in their upper 60's.
They will be throwing at the Axe House. I told Mrs Bob to be sure and get some cell videos.

Just another non-making money department in the business....yep we had a few

In my teen years, my folks had a hobby farm, chickens, rabbits, pigs, milk cows, ducks and geese.

The goose eggs made awesome omelettes.

And cakes too.

Mad scientist ...

Salut,

Hope that all are well and I cannot keep up with y'all ...

I have doing a bit (more) crazy stuff, so I thought that I would share.

Pentax-110 film lens on the K-1.

Here, the 50/2.8 wide open since there is no aperture on these lenses. A quick test image rapidly done in the kitchen.

Good morning/evening everyone!
The header at the top says I need 2 posts for an entry to possibly win something or other.
So here's one:

Yours wasn’t so bad Jim, especially with the fluff about snorkeling in paradise.

But I get weary of these contests, and the meaningless and unrelated, off topic posts that proliferate this fine thread.

They cheapen it.

And as I said, this thread isn’t the place for contest announcements, speculation and updates.

From here on any posts that are fluff clearly made to inflate post counts are getting deleted.

If people want to inflate their post count to increase their chances in the raffle, they can always post some pictures, share their latest acquisition, or discuss post processing techniques in the appropriate discussion forums.

Oh, and happy snorkeling!

We have more meaningful stuff to discuss here, like, “Why we won’t buy a K-3”, and of course Pearls Before Swine.

It is clearly a reason why I will not buy a K-3.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Cruising Google Earth Pro yesterday, rolling around Toyama, Japan, where a friend of mine is from. I already shared the screen grab of the livE hociR having a Sunday drive.

A bit further down the street, across from the Pachinko Palace I saw this Ford Bronco.

So the 110 system has the aperture in the body?

Oui, oui, oui, monsieur.

Two "L" shaped blades that cross over each other to form a square aperture just behind the lens mount.

I have been goofing about with these lens on the Fuji X-E2 (APS-C) via a Chinese adapter. Quite fun.

I have also experimented by installing "apertures" inside a 18/2.8 to try to get more DoF and sharpness. Also, I have used binding hole stickers (you know, those white round ones) stuck to the rear element as a substitute aperture. Again, just goofing off ...

I have started a thread and I hope to find enough time to complete all my planned tests and further experiments ... as a mad scientist . Pentax-110 system film lenses on APS-C - PentaxForums.com

I guess the 110 never was aimed at smooth bokeh
