Yeah, I can't wait until the post-festival party/reception at this theater next Thursday. I will get to see all my headless friends again ...

I don't know what the dame (am I allowed to write that?) in my Toyota is called but she has no idea who I want to call on my phone.
I same something like 'call home' (Home is listed in my mobile (cell) phone) and she comes back and says something like 'do you want to call Richard Kaa?'
Now I ask you. She has no idea of elocution, pronunciation, or anything else.
Maybe once in six tries she might get me the number I ask for.
I've never tried Alexa, and the only time I tried Siri was an experiment which proved that my son's voice and mine must have some similarity as I could ask Siri questions on his phone and be understood and answered, and my grandson couldn't.
Did you do the voice recognition exercise?

Exercise?

Like, sit ups, push ups, jumping jacks, and leg lifts?

Mrs Micro didn’t like having Alexa in the house, I think she felt threatened. So I had to change Alexa’s name (and therefore personality) to ‘computer’. I miss Alexa... 🙁😜

Hi Jean

So the photographer at the newspaper. is in title only.you don't actually have to be a photographer or did the story above exceed its lines...?

Oops, I did it again.

That is to say to make it into the newspaper. Monday, we installed the winners of the bi-annual photo festival in the lobby of the theater. Here's the article and I am on the far right with a bad hair day in action.

And yes, that is how the group photo was cropped. Jean, Christophe, Daniel and Jean-Marie are headless ...

My thoughts exactly -

OTOH the croppist (? - new word) might have been told to only show the images.

I posted before seeing Jean's post above.
(But my alternative (OTOH) may have been more accurate than I thought)

I scanned the manual and found no mention of training Mrs Toyota.
Perhaps I only had a man's look (?).
But then, the car was manufactured in Australia (The Aurions and Camries were the last Toyota models to be so) so "she" should have recognised an Aussie accept straight off; the training should have been completed in the factory, surely.

Yes, she drops in to see us from time to time, although more often than not now she sends one of the family.
I'm quite pleased to have her as my liege lord (?) - better than any goofy ex politician that we would get under any republican proposal that has been raised.
(MODS: please forgive my bordering on the political - my brain couldn't stop my fingers, and even my fingers were not being partisan; everyone who had an opinion in the matter had brain dead ideas.
