I wouldn't mind winter if I had scenery like that. I have never been as happy in my life, with respect to my geographical location, as I was the 4 years that I lived in Fairbanks.

And I just opened a box from a PF member that had a DA15 Limited inside.
I succumbed to B&H's 3 day sale and ordered the HD 70Ltd last night with about an hour to spare before the sale was to end. $170.00 off was too good to pass up.
I have the DA 15, 21, 40, and the FA 31, so I just HAD TO HAVE the 70 to complete. Didn't I?

I would have gone for the 77, it's a lucky Japaneese number.. designed by the king of Pentax lens designers, you're not done yet.

And is any Pentax lens collection really complete without the FA* 250-600? Not to use, to hang on your wall over your fire place and admire. I must say though, I have no hope of ever completing my "perfect" lens collection. I'll be happy if I jut end up with a 31ltd before I die.

I use mine far more than any other lens, but I recently got the 21 so that may change. 70mm is about the longest FL I am likely to use. According to Exposure Plot 80% of my shots, even with my Sigma 18-250, are under 50mm.

Geez Jean. I wonder what you'd post if you were trying to rub it in to we frozen ones.
How about some pink flamingos from today's zoo visit ... they look like they are frozen in the water ... J

Norm, I will trade you for a few days ... We had maybe two hours of "flurries" one day, as far as snow went this year ... Some real snow would have been fun.

(I'd add, "Take that, Mr. Park-with-the-girls, anti-hociR-man," but it wouldn't be nice, so I won't).
65, been there, done that today!

Yours truly, Mr. "ZOO-with-the-girls-this-afternoon" ... but, still "anti-hociR-man" ... for the moment,

Yes, the 77 is very nice. Pity that I seldom use mine

I wouldn't get those great "middle of the road" shots then.

Racer should not drive while shooting. Frost boils in the pavement can jostle the camera beyond the capability of image stabilization. And weaving tacos while shooting is even more troublesome. Not sure even a K-3 could handle those challenges.

Got my K-3 and am flabbergasted by the WB auto and by the resolution. I am a goner now!

After a lengthy deliberation, I have come to a conclusion that there is no way to reply to this fine post.
