Crossing glaciers can be done safely if you know what you're doing. It's one of those places where ignorance can be deadly.

Not my image.
Fun stuff, if you're smart about it.
i have many stories to tell, mostly recounted by guide friends.

Night? I'm sitting here drinking coffee and the sun isn't even showing a sign of being up yet!

The idiot tourist special: half-price tickets, as you won't be needing a return ticket after being eaten by a bear.

With all the... stuff we're getting served by the management one would think it should be possible to get the expenses covered for a pitchfork to handle said stuff.

It could come in really handy at meetings as well - doubly so as it can be used to reinforce arguments.

Excuse me, I have some shopping to do.
Here you go, have a pitchfork:

I like to saute matchstick size pieces of fresh apple in butter, then spoon the pancake batter over the top.
Made some this morning using a honeycrisp apple, gave bacon a break, went with sausage.
Anxious for cosmic crisp apples to show up here. Racer can probably already get them.

The milk gets handled by the milking machine, sucked away to large stainless steel tanks, then pumped into trucks and carried away to the plant for processing and packaging.

The fork is for the manure.

Oh, and dairy farmers have two meetings a day, every day, at 6 am and 6 pm, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year.

Lots of ‘stuff’ to deal with.
Milking machines are only suitable for large scale operations. For just a couple goats, manually is fine, just a few minutes.
But then we just put it in glass jars in the fridge, no pasteurising or any of that stuff.

I got to sleep with a beautiful woman last night for the first time in about a week.
Mrs Bob decided my nighttime coughing had subsided enough to join me in our marital bed, instead of spending another night in the spare bedroom. Knock on wood, I'm feeling the best I have in several days.
My daily dose of wit and wisdom should be gracing this thread again soon.

I know.

As a teen my folks had a hobby farm, and a couple of milk cows. So I know about milking by hand.

Oh, and goats milk is naturally homogenized, so it doesn’t require further processing.

We rarely get good apples here, unless we want to drive a couple hours to Eastern Washington to the orchards and get them fresh off the trees.

I think they send the best ones elsewhere to let everyone know just how awesome our apples are.
