My wife's uncle suffered permanent back injury as he was driving a company repair van. He was in heavy traffic and a woman got tired of waiting for a break in the traffic. She finally pulled out in front of my wife's uncle and he nailed her pretty hard. When the cops arrived they questioned the woman and asked whey she pulled out when she did. She told the officer "I waited and waited for a break in the traffic and when none came, I just closed my eyes and stepped on the gas.".
I was behind a car traveling 40mph in a 40. A woman from a side street on the right needed to make a left to head the opposite direction from our travel. She looked left, looked right and just pulled out without looking left again. The guy on front of me slammed on the brakes, then released and swerved across the (empty) oncoming traffic lane in front of the woman and onto the far shoulder. She never even slowed down.

She completed her turn and went on her merry way as of nothing at all unusual had just happened.

Busy talk here.

Lots about cars. So I'll add that driving a real-wheel drive truck in the winter makes for fun corners.

Only a poor quality phone pic, but being up in the Alpine before the sunrise is beautiful.

It took me all month to make 99 legitimate posts. I don’t get one freebie?

Rear wheel drive vehicles are fun in the winter. I do wonder how many accidents the ABS and traction control have caused in winter driving. While I like them in the summer they absolutely sick in winter driving conditions.

Cruise control is da bomb when driving through Kansas on Interstate 70.
As well as some other western US states.
Pretty much all the big square ones.

And Texas.

Proof that not everyone should be issued a driver's license.

Real wheels?

Is there any other kind?

Oh Bert.

Carry a real camera with you . It isn't like you're gonna have cell service up there in the mountains.

So noted.

There’s a guy in a red Durango pickup - the kind with the stock exhaust resonator that can rattle windows at 100 yards - who drives around my cul-de-sac every morning at 5:05. Sometimes he stops in front of one of the four houses for a few seconds. There doesn’t seem to be a reason he would need to make a direction change. It’s really starting to bug me. I don’t like the feeling that I’m being watched.

One of these days I’m going to stand out there and wait for him just to ask what he is doing.

Isn't it a bit cold at the minute to wait outside
