You didn’t think the post was satirical? A particularly fine effort, I thought.

Honestly, I can tell you of 9 different people I know in Texas that have purchased a different camera system just because they saw this thread as a guest! is the best use of hyperbole in the past dozen pages at least!

What the casual observer of this thread doesn't see is a group of Pentax camera lovers discussing other things, lots of other things.
We all have a similar sense of humor (humour) schoolboy-ish at times, yes, but not always.
We also talk serious stuff, we grieve when one of us grieves, we celebrate when one of us celebrates, we can laugh at each other and not get offended.
We come from all walks of life and several countries, but there is a camaraderie here that's pretty darn strong.

Oh, and we all love bacon, beer, cheese, and a few other food groups.

Yes, one of us even likes sheep innards served up in a sheep's stomach.

And (most of us) still will not buy a K-3.

We are however watching the live stream of the 777X’ second attempt at a first flight. You there, Racer?

We're also a forgiving group for those among us who have.
Well, pretty much so.

What about if you accidentally bought a K-3II ... ?

But I absolutely won't buy a K-3.

Well today is (was) the third attempt at the first test flight.

And I was there, albeit a bit too late. As I drove under the flight path of the runway it flew over. So I got to see an airplane I had a part in building make it’s inaugural flight, but failed to get any photos.

Darn!

I could drive down to Seattle and be there for the landing, but it is scheduled for just after 2 pm local time. That is four hours away, and I have work to do at home.

So, DARN!

C’est la vie!

I am watching the flight on flight aware, it is at about 14,000 feet and climbing, heading Southeast at about 300 miles an hour and climbing.

Then the forum sighs in quiet frustration and prescribes bacon sandwiches. At regular intervals. Until we get over it.

However, there may be fewer responses today, owing to some contributors spending their evenings eating offal pudding with boiled vegetables and gargling excessively with mouthwash. January 25th, ye ken...

Drats, I forgot, no time to make some now... I suppose a tin will have to suffice.

It was hard to find a good rendition of this on Youtube, nearly had to go and record it myself to post.
