Yes, sorry, I lumped all of the non-existent islands together.

Btw, the spelling of island is based on a misguided belief that the word was related to isle - which it isn't. Isle derives from the Latin insula while island comes from Old English iegland.

This was an announcement from the Department of Useless Information.

But really, any V8 would do.

That is lunacy.

If you laid one of those things down you would never get it back up, eh?

Sure had to crank it a bunch.

And if 4500ccs wasn’t enough they put a blower on it.

Sheesh!

Back in 1991 we were camping at Berry Patch campground in Rapid City South Dakota. It is no longer in business. Strip mall and stores now. It was during Bike Week in Sturgis, SD. There was a guy there with a trike with a 472 ci Cadillac engine installed on it.

Back in the 70's there was an 1/8 mile drag strip near a small town not far from here.
I remember seeing a Chevy V-8 engine mounted on a bike make a couple runs there, must have been E J Potter on his Widowmaker 7.
edit, this one had a 350, I was pretty sure the one I saw had a 327, maybe one of his earlier builds.

Is that a product of J K Rowling’s imagination?

Here's the one I saw with the 327.
"The engine Potter used was a 327 cubic inch, fuel-injected Chevrolet running on a mixture of alcohol and water, although at various times he experimented with ether and benzene. The transmission was connected to the engine by means of a chain, which was then connected to the rear sprocket by more chain."

In 1907, Glenn Curtis, of aircraft fame, built this motorcycle and got it up to 136mph. Set a speed record at the time. Anybody here want to give it a go?

I wonder why he had the handlebars down so low? Seems like it would be difficult to control.

Here you go Bob.

Chocolate covered bacon on a stick.

Sorry, it looked so good I had to take a bite.

Oh, and here is some Griebenschmalz.

Spread it on a freshly toasted English muffin.
