Well, I've now got a good reason to learn Norwegian...
It's classified as one of the easiest languages to learn for an English speaker. For someone well versed in Scottish it should be even easier. Words like oot and hoose are pronounced much the same as our ut and hus, bairn is barn, kerk is kirke... Lots of similarities.

I mean, how hard can it be? Youtube promises to teach you Norwegian in 30 minutes

I thought they started all that over in Kiwi land - sorry, under in Kiwi land - and not on the West Island?

And then some words of wisdom? "You have to try everything five times before you start liking it"?

Yesterday's lunch, all prepared on a Weber grill.
Shaved Angus beef grilled for a French dip sandwich, fries, and au jus for dipping.
Maybe I'll do a chip butty one of these days.

No Bob.

What you have there is nearly perfect.

If it had cheddar cheese on the French dip, it would be perfect.

No cheese for me please, just beef, crusty French bread, and au jus is all I need.

It would have been easy enough there, just open the bread, assemble the chips along the length of the beef and close the bread again.

No, luckily they contacted me yesterday morning just before I started my prep. I promptly made myself a coffee and breakfast
