But an entirely different delicacy. Btw, what are these flexible square orange things laid on just before the bacon??

Couldn't tell for sure. They might be cheese or they could be Velveeta.

Hey Racer, what's your plan for the next little while (given the news that Boing put out yesterday)? Got things covered, I hope...

Only in the strict sense of the word.
It can be ingested.
Digested is another matter.

Well I am filing for Unenjoyment. I qualify for $661 a week, plus the additional $600 a week, so $1,261 a week. Since I am not maxed out yet (will be in July), I will be getting more from Unenjoyment than I make at The Big Shed in straight time hours.

Plus, I should be getting the $1,200 from Uncle Sam . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . soon . . . . . . . .

So, back to getting caught up on deferred maintenance of the Eddie Bauer, servicing Mrs. Racer's car, mower and tractor service, washing the winter off the cars, spring cleaning . . . . . . . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . sheesh! I'm tired already and I haven't even gotten out of my chair.

Exactly, just like Homer scarfing down the donut.

Which reminds me, I haven't had a donut now for quite awhile. I don't eat them as much as I used to, but I sure do like a nice 'plain' donut once in awhile.

Speaking of donuts, one of the best donuts I've had was from Wall Drugs in South Dakota. We were on a holiday and decided to stop by the world famous Wall Drugs and it is quite an interesting place. A recommended stop if your in the area.

Anyway we got some coffee to go (5 cents if memory is correct) and about three of their plain donuts. Two for me and one for my wife. While on the road I found I enjoyed the first two so much that I asked (begged more like it) my better half if she would go 'halfers' on her one donut with me.

She had sympathy for my plight and did break her donut in half. Good thing we don't live too close to Wall Drugs as I fear I would be around 400 lbs. by now.

We're about 120 miles away. Too far to make a doughnut run, but with trips to Rapid City or the Badlands several times a year we survive. We never pass by without getting a few.

As good as they are, I have to say they are the second best I've ever had. The best were in a doughnut shop in Anacortes, Washington.

Too bad about the 50hz thing....
NTSC60 is one of those problems one gets for being first to market. The PAL50 system learnt from it and made a better system, by which time the installed base of NTSC60 kit was too great to allow a conversion to a potential PAL60 system to be entertained.

How often first to market is not quite right and second to market learns and puts first out of business and makes the big money.

I sucked it up, wore a medical mask and hit our smallish local grocery store this morning.
Got there when they opened at 9AM (new later hours for them} only about 5 other shoppers.
Pretty well stocked, bought most everything on my list. Gave everything a wipe down with Clorox wipes before storing.
It's not real easy breathing through the mask, thought I might hyperventilate a time or two.
The thing I find hardest is that my glasses fog up.

Your Uncle Sam is so kind to you, dropping a bunch of loot on you.

As I said in the Coronavirus thread, a snorkel with an oil filter attached to the end is the way to go.

If the coffee was 5 cents there has been plenty of time for the bean counters to spoil the recipe.

Nope.
It's still 5 cents.
