Originally posted by robtcorl I keep my grills clean, can't remember the last time I washed my truck by hand.
Usually, all of my vehicles get hand washed. The Ram is so big though, I have to use a brush on a stick for some of it, while standing on a ladder. After nearly 20 years I got it down.
The Ram and the Subaru have been hand polished and waxed more times than I can remember, the Toyota a couple of times.
The Eddie Bauer? This was the first time it got washed period since I bought it over a year ago. Took it out for a drive today with Mrs. Racer 2.0. Got some moss killer for the lawn (400lbs), some amendments for the bonsai soil I am making up, and a few miscellaneous hardware items we needed for various projects here.
The crowds were brutal. Didn't even go into Home Depot, the line went around the side to the back.
No way.
Lowes didn't have a line, but was way too busy, and didn't have everything we needed. Got some mint and lavender seeds (gonna try to repel the deer from the orchard without a physical fence this year), a hook to hang my headphones on by my desk, and four hundred pounds of moss killer.
Tractor Supply was a wasted stop.
Coastal Farm And Ranch had the sprayer parts I needed.
Co-Op Supply was another strike out.
Sunnyside Nursery had some soil building materials, and I almost bought a ficus bonsai, but decided to hold off.
ACE Hardware had the swag lamp hooks I needed, and as a bonus, a small sprinkler watering can I had been looking at. The watering can is cool, an old design and made in England.
But the drive was nice. The best part of the day. Even though the Eddie Bauer is old, and beat up, it drives and rides very nicely. Typical Ford. Cush. Quiet. Comfortable.
Powerful.
Yep.
Today was all about the drive.
