Way up north in the last while, we have had a few instances of Barren Ground Grizzlies and then of course at Churchill...there are Polar Bears. I've never been that far up north.
A polar bear and her cub were sitting on an ice floe. The cub said 'mum, are we brown bears?' 'No,' said his mother, 'we're polar bears.' The cub continued 'But we could be black bears.' 'No,' said his mother, 'we're polar bears like I said.' The cub continued 'Are you sure we're not grizzly bears?' The mother polar bear, narked now, said 'No, I told you, we're polar bears. Why on earth are you asking?' The cub looked at her plaintively 'Cos I'm @&^%*** freezing!'

I've seen many a Black Bear...sometimes one will wander into the Peg. I've also seen one Wolverine and that was a sight. I was happy I happened to be in the square stern at the time.
While stationed in Alaska I encountered many black bear and a couple of wolverines.
The bears were far less intimidating than the wolverines.

An awesome "amateur" fireworks display. The show begins at about 4:30, and is non stop for about 25 minutes.

I am not worthy.

YouTube
That must have cost a small fortune....

Same here. I've seen many a Black Bear in my time and a couple of Grey Wolves and the one Wolverine. The Wolverine was the one that gave me the chills. Glad I was on the water and in our square stern canoe and had the Evinrude outboard attached....in case the Wolverine...which was on shore...decided to go for a swim.

I Googled it but came up with nothing related to wood or woodworking.
Sorry. Autotypo strikes again. Maranti or Meranti - forgot the spelling. It is a SE Asian tropical hardwood of density and woodworking hardness rather like Pinus Radiata but much nicer knot characteristics and normally much better seasoned.

A suspect package sent six people to the hospital and caused an evacuation -- its contents turned out to be some very smelly fruit

'...The band is just fantastic
That is really what I think
Oh by the way, which one's Pink?
And did we tell you the name of the game, boy?
We call it Riding the Gravy Train...'

Great song.
