That has to be one of the windiest places on earth!

So, today Racer is moving to yet another exciting assignment.

For the fifth time since April, another move memo.

Today, forward body structures, on the 767. You know the one. FED EX, DHL and UPS freighters, and the KC46 Tanker.

Oh boy.
MMmmm Racer looks like you are having a crashcourse of all the sections before your retirement ......... but ....... I see you coming back as a consultant on double the money.......... !

Can you trust a NASA actor.

I have a vintage 3 hp Evinrude outboard motor at the end of the bar in my man cave.

I liked the job I had. Great job but dealing with management was a pain in the butt. Since we worked out of our homes, no need to go to corporate to deal with all the office politics. Pretty much out own boss. But when I retired at age 65 it was time to go. My body was having problems dealing with all the non ergonomic lifting and pushing of very heavy objects. It was simply simply time for me to take my life in another direction and I felt it literally to my bones. I really do not miss work at all.

I fell down the YouTube hole just now.

I found something that made me think of Jim.

The Squirrel, the Physicist and the Bird Feeder - YouTube

Here's another wannabe-Jim. Yeah, you made me actually spend 20 minutes watching that Youtube hole, indeed!

For sure I will miss the discipline of the daily routine. And I will miss the challenging nature of the work.

But I won’t miss the commute, or the constant oversight and continual struggle to remain compliant with the FAA.

I've never tried to start it. My guess is it would need a tuneup.
Bought it at a garage sale years ago.

That went down the drain half a year ago. March 11 was the last time i visited the office. I'm in no hurry to get back.

Ok, I do have a daily routine, but it's hard to keep it as strictly as when I'm at the office. At least the commute is short.

Sounds like the valley I live in, except ours is wider and deeper.

At least one of the windiest places where it's fairly easy to dig out a long and straight canal. Good thing it needs to be shallow to avoid waves. But yes, the summers can be quite windy.
