Friday morning car porn.

Like the pix of your Z. I'm old enough to remember how some cars back then and earlier, had sleek, beautiful bumpers...that complimented the lovely lines of cars like the earlier Z and MGBs....before safety regs cut in and compelled manufacturers to attach in some cases...huge bumpers....ie; the later on '70's MGB....which gave it that Mack truck look.

I know safety is important....but for a guy like me who has an eye for a svelte 'look'....well....

Letting the kid sleep in this morning while I make breakfast.
Thank goodness I was able to save my grill from the boat blaze.

Sleep in? Never.

Up bright and early every morning for some good ol' boat carving, gotta get that canoe done if we ever want to get to Mark's before his pizza oven is eroded away.

Luckily the bowl-shape of the grill made it float well, and wash ashore. Turns out that my pipes fell overboard in the blaze, and were full of air, so they washed up during breakfast there. Should be free from sharks now!

But afterwards they need to shower.
When we first got married in 1976, we lived in a house just south of the village of Scottsville, NY. Every night around 7PM you could go outside, look up and see tankers adding fuel to some B52's that were starting out their daily routes north towards Russia. The B52 cannot take off with a full load of fuel so after they got airborne the first thing they did was fill up and head out on their missions.

Pretty sobering as I knew that each plane had two pods hanging from their wings. Each pod contained 6 nuclear tipped cruise missiles. Each capable of destroying a city. Meanwhile down below life went on as normal.

What a relief after the boat fire .....
The Webber survived so good food cooking for strength is not lost ..........
The shark deterrent has survived ......... I suppose that is good .......

Well, darn guys, if I'd known you were stuck on the Washington coast I woulda waved when we drove by. Just got home from a quick little road trip around the Olympics. Quinalt, Queets, Kalaloch, Hoh Rain Forest, Forks (no vampire or werewolf sightings), Sequim, and all the best sights were seen. At least Bert has lots and lots of driftwood logs on the beach to carve with his pocketknife!
