I have been waiting for the announcement of the k3 for some time.Now that the camera is out and seeing the pics and seeing "ricoh on the back of the screen turns me off.Only a matter of time before we see Ricoh on the front of the camera.I think ricoh just shot themselves in the foot.

I think some guy who was overly concerned with bacon, rhubarb and okra was walking along looking at the Ricoh on the back of the camera while it was pointed at the ground and took a shot of his ekiN.

My reasoning behind this is I make a living in photography.I shoot lots of weddings and It seems more people ask on what camera I'am using.I have had quite a few people turn me down because I shoot with pentax.They just know canon and nikon.I l was turned down on other major sporting events because I shoot with Pentax.This all happened a few years back

once in middle school a few decades back I was too shy to ask a girl to the friendship dance which was a major social event and lots of times to putt-putt and parties so I wrote her a note.she turned me down because I was too facile to use capital letters and periods and spacesin my note.

and I will admit that some people are starting to recognize that pentax can keep up with the big guys.

By the time I graduated from college most girls had figured out the big guys were just sexy bodies wrapped around empty heads and we could keep it up - but by then it was too late. They all had 'Big Guys' stamped on their lower backs. At least our girls are classy enough to get Ricoh stamps. And we can always tape over that.

If Ricoh puts their name in front of the camera I feel it will throw them back to the dark ages.

Dude. Pentax is only going on the front of the BIG BOY cameras like the Z, or so PhotoRumors says. The smaller hociR cameras will have awesome low-light AF capability for use in the Dark, though, so at least that's someting

.I'am quite happy with my k5s and all my pentax glass and will continue to shoot pentax,but hesitating to by new equiptment because of this matter.

I hesitate to buy new equipment too, but it doesn't matter. I do it anyway. I can't resist. I've been assimilated.

I do also own nikon and canon slr's but I'am a pentaxian and as long as it says Pentax on the front of the camera I'am happy.
