Don't know - but he eventually precipitated Bacon's Rebellion, which led to, 100 years later, the Declaration of Independence.

Not sure about the death part... but we are having pork-chops for dinner. And they will be so tasty that there is no room left to think about hociR and it`s evil ways.

Isn't the proper quote "Give me sizzling pork AND give me death."

(Let's see how long that takes for a reaction from North of the 49th parallel. )
On Normans:
William the Conqueror (1066) is memorable for having loved an old stag as if it was his father, and was in general very fond of animals: he therefore made some very just and conquering laws about the Forests. One of these laws said that all the forests and places which were not already Possessions belonged to the King and that anyone found in them should have his ears and legs cut off -(these belonged to somebody else under the Feutile System, anyway) - and (if this had not already been done) should have his eyes put out with red-hot irons; after this the offender was allowed to fly the country.

Okay, just in case anyone hasn't got the sarcasm of my comment; we have a forum member named Norman, who resides North of the 49th parallel.

(Sincere appologies to Norm, but I couldn't resist. )

Broiled Lemon / Basil Chicken Breast, wild rice with (vegetarian) sausage and red bell peppers, snap peas, Ceasar Salad with bacon bits (I cheated and ate real bacon bits), Mandarin Orange, pomegranate and sunflower seed for my fruit exchange. Apple juice.

Heart-healthy doesn't have to have hociR on the plate..

And where is stevebrot - thought we'd hear from him by now.
I'm not Steve, but I'm from Washington. At about 48 degrees North. Will that do?

Oh, and Mrs. Racer is Norwegian.

Maybe she can help. You know, with that Viking stuff.

I don't know about "this post", but this thread is.

It is immortal.

There can be only one.

Well she is a skjoldmøy, but only for me. And at only 5 feet tall her appearance may not suggest she would be very effective as a skjoldmøy, but when needed she has tremendous capacity to present as fierce and unwavering.

I certainly will not cross her.

After all, she prepares most of my meal . . . . . . . . . .
