Dunno, but the mighty Parallax has decreed that this thread shall live past 10,000 posts.

We still have a good way to go.

And that's why I won't buy a K-3.

No, there are a few that are longer, but they've been going for a much longer time. This one blows all of them away on posts per day average.

The 300mm+ thread is long and also the Takumar Club - both run to well over 12000.

I like your picture of the tumbleweed. Reminds me of a place I worked for a year.

.. and this is why I like Pentax, they sorta kinda missed their opportunity at the dawn of digital era, their marketing still is, ah, how should I put it, less than stellar, but they survived and managed to churn out excellent gear at the same time. "big ups, much respect, mad love." (c)

I read on another thread where a K-3 purchase was being deferred in favor of a rumored Pentax MILF later this year. Is the hociR branching out?

Yep. That's the intersection of Boondocks Road and Desolation Way; just outside Nowhereville. (AKA Pierre, SD)

Still here ... but too busy playing "mad scientist" again! On a "projector lens" kick ... first tests, first try outs. All taken this afternoon (national holiday today in France, again)

No hociR K-3 acquisition would quench my need to experiment ... poor K110D, the guinea pig ...

Ok, Mr Mad Scientist, that is a seriously cool setup and those pictures are equally seriously gorgeous, but it's not like this is a photography related forum, now is it?!

That out of the way let's get back on track. It's national holiday over here too. And that means nobody bothers to work tomorrow either, so this is a nice and long weekend.

Too busy relaxing to even consider buying a K-3.

Pictures with cheese, bacon and such are still OK.
Images of flowers will keep the hociR away.

Bearing in mind that even real flowers, a pocketful of posies, could not keep the Black Plague away, a much lesser threat.
