Thick-sliced, real smoked bacon is only $28.29 a kilogram (2.2 lbs) here in Cape Dorset. In May it was about $20/Kg. Be thankful.

The scary part of all this is... Last night as I was preparing the bacon and bacon sausage part of our pasta dinner - all I could think of was the K-3. Happens every time I see, smell, or eat anything bacon.

K-3, every time.

The hociR has indeed turned bacon against us.

Given the current price of a pound of bacon you might well be better off just buying a K-3.

Hey, if you keep that up I'll have to call the mods on you!

Besides, I'm not entirely sure I need another K-3 right now.

Which is, of course, why I won't buy another one. No matter the price of bacon.

Of course you need to buy another K-3.*

Do you have a Silver with the Grip?

Do you have your Gunmetal SE reserved?

*Let me be perfectly clear. I have never bought a K-3. It was an ill-considered gift.

I suspect we won't know which direction for about another month. I'm ready either way.*

*I just bought a FA Limited and a box of cheese-flavored Microwave popcorn.

Right...

I'll consider another K-3 the day they release a bright yellow one

But I tell you I'm not going to buy any big boned hociR should it ever materialise.

I might buy some more FAs just to see if I can make a buck on them, though.

Except I'm not known to sell lenses.

My (very early) 43 got even better after it meet my K-3.

That said, I wouldn't mind clumsy delivery van drivers passing by here more often...

Aaanyway, never forget:

Don't look at me I'm too busy over here playing with my sexy red K-30's and a pair of silver Olympus P3's to even think about that behemoth. I got them in the mail today. 4 new cameras in less than a month? I'm just like "WHOAH BABY!" It's definitely been Christmas in Summer around here. I had to smile though. I took the new K-x my teacher sent over to my niece and gave her the Sears lenses I was saving for her. She ran right outside and started using it taking pics of the cat, the dogs, everything in their yard. That kid is so totally into her photography it's awesome to watch her! Her *ist is now going to my other niece though I think I am going to get her Mom and Dad to get her a K-x for Christmas. At well under $200 I think they can afford it and that way both girls will have one. Or maybe I'll just give her the E-PL1 if they say no and just grab her an adapter so she can use her K lenses on it. I doubt I will be using the E-PL1 anymore and while I could get $100 for it I think she might enjoy it more.

The P3's are indeed very nice. I'm very glad I popped for the second body on my teacher's suggestion. They kick the stuffing out of the E-PL1. One thing I never thought I'd like is a touch screen on a camera, but I must admit the ability to touch and change the focus point is a neat little trick. Doing that I hardly needed the extra EVF I've got for my E-PL1. It will still come in handy for MF lenses and outside. But now that I've got my Sigma primes and the AF long lens I doubt I'll be playing as much with the old lenses on the P3's. Both Sigma primes are just top notch and the long lens is pretty decent too. I could not ask for a better walk around combo. The P3 is so tiny! I have very small hands and even with a prime lens on it it fits into one hand. I'm not sure I would not need a better zoom to take it on a vacation, one with a bit more reach, but I could easily pack both bodies and all my M43 lenses in one small bag and trek all over Europe and the UK and hardly feel the weight at all. I love my K-30 but I'm almost convinced at this point that the P3's are actually a better idea for a long trip if I ever do go.
