I'll do my part to pad the numbers:

There once was a camera seller
Who issued a Brick that was yeller
With its rubbery flap
The 'experts' all called it crap
And blamed it on some Newson feller.

maybe we could segue this thread into "why I won't a FF"....lol

since most of us seem to have succumbed to the siren call of the K3 already

Some <> most! I am still having way too much fun with my K-30 -- I see no need to drop a buncha cash just to get rid of a zero in the name...

Excellent! Surely you can create something to the K-3 as well!

The next model was called the K-30
It could resist getting wet and/or dirty
But the outlook was bleaker-
"It looks like a sneaker!
Why can't you make a camera that's purty?"

I'll get to the K-3, never fear...

I am pretty good at resisting - took me 7 yrs to upgrade from my K100D to the K-30 Maybe it's all that loud rock-n-roll from my misspent youth (or yesterday...) that has damaged my hearing enough so I don't even notice the call of the hociR...

Yep, feeling a bit jealous now! Should have skipped the kids and got more cats! Easier to deal with!
Easier to herd kids than cats, however.

I have 1 kid. I've always had 2-3 cats at any one time. That seems like about the right ratio.

I should mention the K-5IIs
(The K-3 wasn't ready, I guess)
It did some things that were neat
But the word on the street
was "We want a full-frame - nothing less!"
