The midrange was then numbered Fifty
Its design was proven and thrify
But its looks were "a bore"
And they'd seen it before
And its sensor was no longer nifty.

Time to put this (and me) to bed:

There once was a camera maker
Whose K-3 was a mover and shaker.
But although it was black,
they put their name on the back -
"It's not a REAL Pentax, you faker!"

Though the K-3's AF was snappy,
Someone said that the mirror was flappy.
So: "I won't buy a K-3!
You couldn't give one to me!"

Some people don't like to be happy.

Todd actually got this one spot on.
There's a "class" of people who always will find something to be disappointed about. "Extremely disappointed", at that.
I sometimes wonder - isn't it hard to live like that or they just don't notice anymore?
I've based my assumptions on nothing, but it seems to go hand in hand with poor[er] health.. coincidence?

I won't be buying a K3 this week because I am driving a big rig this week in X Racer 69's home turf. That's right. I got my Ford Edge hooked up to a U-Haul 4' x 8' x 4' trailer. Delivering the load and #4 son to Bismarck, ND. today and dropping off the trailer. 1,500 miles from, Rochester, NY to Bismarck. After few days here to help him get situated, I will be preceding to Yellowstone for a short stay and then to Las Vegas to visit the worlds cutest grandkids. Home via I40, Then through Springfield, Missouri for a quick visit with family and then southern Indiana to check out some of Rondec's domain. Then sadly home and back to work on September 8.

So if I find a trucker at a rest stop photographing squashed bugs on his grill and xatneP impressed into his face, I figure it will be our pal and I will offer him a cup of coffee.

'cept Racer is pretty nicely planted in Western Washington now. The siren call of domestic bliss reeled him in.

Well, health problems can skew your outlook - I've been there - but then, depression can encourage bad habits which lead to poor health.

I've decided that there is something wrong with me... (yes, we all knew that). Every time there's a new Pentax announcement, I'm excited and happy and curious - even if it's something I'd never buy. I want to look at the features and figure out how/why they did something and what/who it's intended for. It just doesn't occur to me that the world needs to know just how displeased I am that they did/didn't do something that I didn't/did want or like. I guess I still don't know what the internet is for.

But what's wrong with me is that I've started to look forward to watching unhappy people throw tantrums. I really need to work on that.

That's a mild form of LAGS. (Latest And Greatest Syndrome)

PBA in and around downtown St. Louis, the Poplar Street Bridge approach from I-44 Eastbound to cross the Mississippi into Illinois is closed for construction. I advise using I-270S / I-244E at Fenton, MO, crossing the river on the Jefferson Barracks Bridge and connecting to I-55N / I-70E at Collinsville, IL,.then 8 miles to the I-70E Exit from I-55N.

Racer once posted a picture crossing the Mississippi on the JB Bridge Westbound.

Also - as you know, use extreme good judgment in Greene County, MO, which is DUI/DWI-hostile.
