I think I have discovered hociR's real plot! We always thought it would be a giant lizard unleashed, but actually it is a virus that will be unleashed when the K-3 hits a certain sales mark. This virus will turn our lovable squirrels into undead man eating land piranhas!!

Yes hordes of zombie squirrels eating every living thing in sight!(I discovered this first, so I get the tv rights!) This also explains the buy up of all available 22 long rifle ammo, the preppers caught wind of this and are stockpiling! Maybe that's also the reason our fearless OP has had to go into witness protection...
