A bit off topic (sarcasm intended), if you check the Price Watch Forum, the deal on the K5iis is absolutely encroiable (in defference to Jean Poitier ). Why would anyone even consider a K-3?
It's " incroyable" I believe, smile....

I have one in my desktop PC so that I can convert tapes to MP3!

You know... because the 80s was awesome... just not awesome enough to invest in re-purchasing LOL

Cassettes? Meh. We pull out the 45's.*

*In 1956 top-line Chrylser products had a Highway Hi-Fi option, a fold-down phonograph in the rear seat or front passenger seat.!!

I saw one of them once - I think in a car park at Glenelg, around Moseley Square in the late 60s.

You know they actually sell usb audio units now for aficionados that can handle everything from vinyl to now. I saw one online the other day and I could even play 8 tracks on it. I was laughing it was just so absurd. I can see still buying a turn table if you're into vinyl like a DJ but cassettes and 8 tracks?

I have been meaning to get one of those adapters so I can patch my MP3 player through the Riv's quite excellent sound system. Those adapters are still available aren't they?
Why yest they are:

Cassette Adapter - Shop - SiriusXM Radio

Ten bucks.

Cheap.

The Riv is currently not running...there is a leak in the coolant system that I am having trouble finding. Usually though, it is a pretty nice driver. It gets decent fuel economy (about 28 MPG highway) and has adequate power and can seat four comfortably. Now if I can get the leak fixed and the AC too...
I just happen to know a pretty good (semi) retired mechanic.

But you have to bring it to me . . . . . er, I mean "him".

The car would have to be on a trailer. When I tested it yesterday, it dumped about a quart of coolant in less than 2 minutes. I found the leak in the form of a short length of formed hose between the water pump and some aspect of the fuel injection system. Replacement will require removal of all sorts of stuff, but it at least it is on the top of the engine.

Take a picture and PM it to me. I may have some insight that should help. If it is what I think it is, it was a common "trouble spot" on GM engines of that vintage, and a fix is easier than you may imagine.

Who would have access to a picture like that if it's not of themselves? That's even weirder.

Yeah, right (again) ... nice try for the "save", but not buying it.

Hope that you have done something for that hairdo.

Continued use of that much hairspray will damage the ozone layer and surely accelerate Tokyo's demise.
