According to this they did originally use ginger ale. I stand corrected, but honestly I've never had one made sans the 7 UP and I probably had thousands of them over my childhood. My parents probably took me to hundreds of bars and I never got ginger, not once.

the 7 UP
Small world department.

My father's company was across the street from what was the original 7-Up HQ building and I'm looking out the window at the second HQ Tower, built before Miller Beer bought them (Heckuva wealth event). My High School girlfriend was the daughter of one of the founders. (Boy, was I ever a dope. Daughter of a stupid rich guy AND she's really pretty)

How is this thread still going? It never should have happened in the first place.

That's what some naysayers remark about the "Big Bang" theory. And what other thread has its own moderator. Mrs. Parallax.

She is one of Mrs. Monochrome's better friends. (There were only 46 in her graduating class and 52 in mine and we all went to the same Sunday School. St. Louis can be very small like that).

If you think she's not watching you while you're watching us, I have a Lamborghini-red Hocir FF I can let you have for a song.

Oh, no. She never checks up on me and believes everything I tell her. She knows who runs things here.

So do I.

"Where's the bling?!?"
"Magkelly's working' on it."

...and working on it, and working on it. Those tiny flashy little crystals are nearly the bane of my existence at the moment. I'm not well sighted to begin with these days and even with magnifying glasses it's hard. The best glue for the project isn't helping. You put the cap back on as quick as you can but still the stuff rises up and gets all over the darned place and it dries so fast that by the time you get 2-3 crystals on the thing you are blinging it dries on the plate and you have to open the tube back up and use more. I must have wasted half the tube trying to do what I've done so far. Worst glue tube design ever.

I found this syringe tipped bottle with a proper cap that's supposed to help on Amazon. But I have to wait till that and the rest of the crystals arrive to do any more. Micheal's was out of the Swarovsky colors I wanted. They're usually out of everything at that store, snort, plus Amazon and/or Walmart are a lot cheaper. Walmart has them too but Amazon was $1.50 less a pack and I had to order some cases of canned cat food anyway. The cats are down to about 10 cans. I do need to go back and look at the plastic/resin bling stuff this weekend at Micheal's. I need to figure out the bling for the white K-30. It's got to be black, white or clear stuff I would think...
