Who came up with the idea of calling that game "football" anyway, when the players' feet are used solely for moving about (with a very few exceptions), and there are certainly no balls involved at all!

Especially if you're talking about the Oakland Raiders.
I don't know about these "ball" games.

I'm only into racing. A real sport that requires two ball . . . . . er, well, you know.

This is a family oriented forum after all.

Sometimes the Mod is absent from the thread for periods during which I suspect that he is thumbing through the dictionary looking for the word that will send us scurrying to a dictionary ourselves (or worse...Wikipedia!)

Err... how do you 'thumb through' an internet dictionary?

I tried to read Moby Dick free online once ... but I couldn't turn the first page and smeared the laptop screen with fingerprints.

Call me Ishmael.

I held the K3 up to a mirror and saw the true face of evil. On the back the dreaded hociR showed up. Things started to get hazy and colors came into the mirror that shouldn't have beer there. I got weak and dropped the camera and a portal started to open. The portal closed and things went back to normal, and the camera is so tough it is fine. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten one...

Uuuuuuh? Was beer part of the problem or part of the solution? Do you see beer in that mirror often?

I think that I shall never hear
A poem lovelier than beer.
The stuff that Joe's Bar has on tap,
With golden base and snowy cap.
The stuff that I can drink all day
Until my mem'ry melts away.
Poems are made by fools, I fear
But only Schlitz can make a beer.
