The closer you get to the border, the more the restaurants become more "authentic".

You see it in parts of California too. It is supposed to cure a hangover.

Nothing does - it's one of those unsolved mysteries of mankind that will probably earn the one who finally solves it and finds a cure simultaneous nobel prizes in Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine and Peace and the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences (for increasing world wide productivity).

The best and only cure for a hangover is to stay drunk.

Somewhere I have pictures (sorry photography reference) of a car in a shed in Phoenix with a 737 engine in it. The other car in the shed was red and had a piston engine. Both were built for Bonneville.

Totally agree - I would choose British any day!

I saw one of them in the car park at Loughborough University in 2009, before taking a 380 to Singapore.

It's 40% higher here. Gas this morning (87 octane, 10% ETOH) was $2.48 and Diesel was $3.48. There's more of a difference in this part of the country in the Winter than in Summer or other regions as in the Winter it's a blend o #1 and #2, but even in summer it's about 20% higher. I don't drive my truck very often so when we got back from our last trip I had a little less than half a tank of straight #2. I topped it off with #1 so if I didn't get around to driving it again until the dead of Winter I'd have a blend. Cost of straight #1?

$4.68 per gallon.
When I bought the Ram in 2001 diesel was cheaper than regular. Not long after it began to climb, eventually becoming more expensive than premium gas.

What?

Diesel is less refined than gasoline. So why are they gouging us so much?

Still, I like my Cummins powered Ram!

All loaded up and goin' racin' The truck, camper, trailer with race car, spares and fuel grossed out at just about 22,000 lbs. And the Cummins didn't even breathe hard.

Out in the snowy desert in rural Utah.

On our way back down from Slate Peak, the highest place you can drive to in Washington State at 8,000 feet.

Zoe liked it too. Dogs love trucks!

Fair go, pub dinners in England, with a pint of one of the on tap beers are great.

Not that this has anything to do with Pentax !

I bought a K-3 a few weeks back "Prestige Edition", its such a huge leap over my K-5: Better-faster-stronger-stablerer. The Ricoh logo doesn't really bother me at all. I guess if I owned a Nikon, and Mitsubishi put "Mitsubishi" on the back, it wouldn't bother me at all. They're just parent companies.
Someone discussing cameras in here?

That is like unleaded petrol. Something wrong in the factory processing - lead is an additive but it costs more to not add the additive than to add the additive. Go figure!

The official "company line" is that it's due to higher refining costs to meet the Ultra Low Sulphur requirements and the added cost of the additives necessary to replace the sulphur.

And there's the thing. As much as Texans want to believe that the entire state is unique and everyone there has the same identity, the fact is it is about as diverse at the entire United States.

It would be wrong to knock the Reliant Robin, btw. One Mr. Bernard Reeves got tired of Top Gear ruining a bunch of those and so he built himself a "rugged" version.

Is it a halftrack?

No!

It is a two-third-track!

Rugged Robin is gunning for Clarkson - YouTube

Oh, and it sports the original 850cc engine - and a somewhat less than original Browning 50

Well the 2/3rd track version didn't really do much better than the original. At about 1:47 in the video it is mired deep in the mud, unable to recover on its own.

Pity.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.
