Mark, you are back!!
How are you? Any news on you?
News here has been largely confined to bacon and lately Vegemite (as you have obviously noted).

My father told me that when he was young his mother would not buy vegemite, because she disagreed with the religious affiliation of the owner of the company.

How things have changed in Australia since the 1930's.

When I was young we had vegemite, and the label on the front said Kraft.

Now all go off and be happy little vegemites.

I've tried them both and I was surprised at how distinctively different they are, yet I really don't have a clear preference for one over the other. (Though I give a slight edge to Vegemite. )

I grew up with vegemite and so that seems right to me. Everything else is different and odd.

So nice to see this thread heading back to it's proper purpose, which is photography of bacon!
Hey, good to see you are still alive! Have they sorted you out yet? And have you tried the good ol' bacon cure??

Hmmm... I haven't tried either but I do suspect that termite would be preferable to either...

No, I definitely meant termite - or termites, as it's hard to make a decent meal out of only one... But you're right in that thermite too probably is preferable in taste to Marmite and Vegemite both.

Savoche, I agreed with you on the Trees thread, but I won't agree with you on this one.
Vegemite makes boys strong and healthy (or so the Kraft adverts go)

That's what they say about Guinness in many parts of the world. "Guinness is GOOD for you!" according to billboards I have seen in the Caribbean.
