From the "walking dead", this thread is now going to the "Game of Thrones". Unfortunately, I can't speak the proper English English. ( I can only speak the American English )

Mark, with your heritage are you a good judge of how English ought to sound?

I thought the correct terms were "traditional English" and "simplified English"?! As referenced earlier in this thread (I'm too lazy to look up the excellent post in question, sorry) Steam has already implemented this:

I used to say British English, but my professor in college insisted on using the English English, and I had to reluctantly acquiesced.

HA. I'd like to think that, having spent my early years in East London, and spending time in several English speaking countries that I'm not too bad with the lingo! But, you're right, with my South African and NZ experience, I may not be the best one to comment.

We like to refer to it as "The Queen's English"

Thanks. English is my second language but the rules of the English language is actually so much easier to learn than that of other languages. In fact my daughter can speak English fluently, but she can't speak the native language here. She can understand, but try hard as I can, I can't make her speak the native tongue.

I've tried learning the Spanish language but gave up .

Isn't that also called Harry Potter's English?

C'mon guy! English? That's what we're talking about? A few pages ago, there was a mention of quantum mechanics and sub-atomic particle physics. I started to get excited!

I can talk about Quantitative Easing (but not quantum mechanics), interest rates, and that stuff until the cows come home, but they prefer bacon more than beef here.

I can also talk about business modelling too hahaha!

Come on Mark. No-one said the queen is not English! Everyone knows the queen's English (with a lot of German heritage!)
And Harry Potter, he is English too.

What, did your excitation result from heightened neural activity in your amygdalas and frontal cortex and increased DA availability through the mesolimbic pathway from the ventral tegmental area to the nucleus accumbens?
