No, after Carlsen showed up, Norwegians fell in love with chess. At least the ones that I hang out with did. But they're all physicists and mathematicians.... And let's face it: do omnivores that don't like bacon even exist?

I have mixed feelings about him. Sure, it's cool. But I'm waaay to impatient for chess personally, and, being a student, chess far too often turns into drinking chess, which is a game where everyone looses.

As for the bacon discussion, I find it somewhat ironic that i'm a vegetarian, and I'm currently translating an article about (feel free to giggle now) sausage making.

Yep, who would have thunk chess could become a TV hit in this country! I am no better than everybody else

Sure, I know the rules of chess, but I have never been able to play the game. And Ruy Lopez I hadn't even heard of before MC entered the stage. Yet now I am able to beat my phone at chess from time to time - playing on level 2 or 3 out of 10, mind you! - so I have indeed learned something about tactics.

I'm an omnivore, and I do like bacon.

And beer.
