OK.

Now that I have caught up on my most favorite thread, and done the requisite spamming of replies, it is time to get ready for the trip to the Oregon Coast that Mrs. Racer and I have planned.

The Land Yacht leaves at first light.

Bye my friends, and have a Very Merry Christmas!

A Merry Christmas to everyone here! I know most of you will only celebrate tomorrow, but here in Germany the main event is Christmas Eve. Just done unwrapping all the presents with the family - nothing photography related this year, but I'm now the happy owner of 'Principles of Neural Science' (5th ed.) by Eric Kandel et al. You know you're a proper university student when you get excited over a 1,700 or so pages textbook

Just returned from the neighbours' after a breakfast with 14 of my church family. Mrs R is getting lunch ready for when Master R and family arrive.
No presents as yet: I am expecting picture books from my children - the past couple of years I have received lovely books with lots of photos (I think they think I am in my dotage and past reading books with lots of words!)
Happy Christmas to all.

Actually it has been derailed for over 12,000 posts.
We're so far passed a derailment, that we should just take the rails to the scrap yard.

I coughed and gagged, then swallowed it.

And the thread only 78 posts away from a new record 13,000. Shame. Now eat some lutefisk wrapped in bacon and get posting.
(Had to edit 'cause VoR snuck up behind me)

Don't know about me but Mrs. Jacaclaus is getting a Sirius monopod and head because I cannot convince her to use a tripod with her 55-300 and she can't figure out why her shots are blurry. (Of course, I may be able to borrow it for short trips.) She didn't need a new snow shovel; she has two already.

Well, let's see. I think I can help with that. I got a new gaming PC and a Windows tablet. Then I got some dolls, and then I got some more dolls and doll stuff, and well, there's a package that's still coming the 26th. I can't say what's in that yet. Okay, I won't say, but in a way it kind of almost puts the other stuff I got to shame and it's all PENTAX (NOT an K-ffin-3!) so that should tell you all something, grin...

Nope. Okay, why not? Here's another hint since you all are determined to guess. :P There's THREE parts to it. It will be a good sized box, and yes, it's all Pentax. Oh, and it's not as sexy as a K-30 in red, but it's close...

Nope. FYI, I don't like grips and I already have an M42 adapter. One more hint. Part of what's in there will look SWEET on my K-30's.
