1260 meters is too low. Denver is higher than that.
A major portion of the state is higher than that. Wyoming too.

A Japanese green tea company has established a processing plant in Wangaratta, (Vic Au) and has contracted growers from around the region.
The Growers are dispersed to endure harvesting occurs sequentially rather than all at once.
A number of growers are in the Mount Beauty (elevation 366 metres) and Tawonga (elevation 330 metres) which are both much less than your quoted 1260 metres.
Perhaps green tea doesn't have the same requirements as other teas.

The teas I wrote about are from places like A Li Shan, Chi Tou in the mountains of Taiwan. The best teas (green or oolong) sell for prices about USD2000 per kg. The Australian Financial Review had an article about that in the early 2000's that said that even at that price they represent much better value than the high price French wine when measured in $/litre of drinkable fluid.

Tea and pineapple cake (a shortbread shell filled with a pineapple preparation) are the standard gifts of official and semi-official Taiwanese delegations. It will always be premium examples.

Japanese green teas are very different than Taiwanese - notwithstanding the Taiwan was a Japanese colony from the 1895 Treaty of Shimonseki until 1945.

Unfortunately for Colorado and Wyoming, the summer is too hot. The 1260m elevation in mountains along the tropic line is actually very cool and rainy, great conditions for the tea plant

Thursday is an acronym?

Wait, oh!

Um, as I said, the word I was discussing is a very versatile one, and yes, I do believe it can be used as an acronym.

In fact when I m0dEraTeD at a truck driver's forum there were frequent attempts around the forum word filter using it as such. Ones like , or . An ingenious bunch they were.

That word is only one syllable, easy to say, and well known - all evidences of being English, as in Anglo Saxon in origin.
I read once that some think it is at least partly Germanic in origin.

I have even heard it used in a sermon in a moderately conservative church. The preacher was referring to matter passed.
Sounds like a pretty liberal congregation.

Curiously, most decidedly not. And the preacher was actually more conservative than the congregation. I think it had to do with him being from a non English speaking background.

Winter here, so not a lot of flies indoors to analyze ... but I blew on the laptop screen to clear and double check that smell thingy again ...

All I got was the back whiff of the cheap Bordeaux that I am trying to polish off ... I am thinking success now, maybe.
