But come on, Bud Light Lime is a very refreshing summer type thirst quencher, even if it's not beer.
The best and most refreshing summer type thirst quencher that is not beer is definitely Apfelschorle.

Not sure if normhead likes or dislikes Bud Light Lime.
I love it in the summer when it's 90 degrees out, when the temp falls back to the 70's, not so much. There' about 10 days a year up here I can enjoy it.
I hate it when you have a hot stretch and you buy some Bud Light Lime, and then it cools off, and it just sits there in the fridge. Although if it sits there long enough my buddy Mark will drink it.

Right now I'm two swallows into a New Belgium Trippel. Not bad at all.

He's not sure if it's beer or not. In Canada, there's a label on real beer. Anything under 6% alcohol must carry the warning "For Children and the Elderly only - not for use as a beverage."

The best summer thirst quencher is a mixture of 1/3 orange juice and 2/3's lemonade.

I was given a bottle of this today:

internet pic, I got the one on the right:

I've had 3 shots and still don't taste nothing peach about it. It's not bad, but it's not the worst either. I've decided to save it and move on to Lime Gin, which goes down super smooooth..

It's funny how tastes change. I can still remember when being able to buy a pack of Heineken in the market was a really big thing. Bud and Michelob were about the only beers available back then. Now beer people will hardly touch Bud and craft beer bars are sprouting up all over the place. My Mom and Dad and their buddies used to drink Bud all the time when they went out fishing. Heineken was too expensive to drink all the time but my Mom loved it now and again as a treat.

New Castle is good. I've always paid the extra dollar for that when I wanted it.

So, if you all (y'all?) spend all your time savouring the delights of beer, whiskey, cheese, bacon, unpronounceable stuff from the ice bound areas, at what all, when do you find time to use the photographic equipment (Asahi, Pentax, Ayoh, Hocir, or any other brand) that you have, (whether or not you vowed on this blog to never buy it)?

I understand that there is an Asahi Brewery company. Are you all (y'all?) on the wrong blog?
I could appeal to the mod for some moderation, but...

We have the same stuff here, but call it by a different name (refer to step #6 and the discussion about the nuances of the English language). It is very good too.

A side note:

When it began to be "fashionable" to provide non alcoholic beverages alongside alcoholic ones at gatherings such as weddings or holiday gatherings in the States (mostly I think because people to feel the need to 'drink responsibly'), Martinelli's started to appear alongside the more traditional champagne. I tried it once and found I actually like it, even prefer it over the bubbly wine. And it is very refreshing served frosty cold over ice on a hot summer day.
