Hey! I resemble that remark! (Also, you forgot "wild-eyed".)

Completely off-topic (can you believe some folks are STILL trying to respond reasonably to the OP? I thought we'd settled that with the cheese puns.): I went out shooting with the K-01 at the Smithsonian this weekend - wanted to try for more overhead or waist-level stuff. Firmware 1.01, around two hundred shots, and when I went to delete the ones with blown focus, it was less than six. Not bad, for a camera that can't focus. I wish I had been an early adopter... (there, now I'm back on topic)

Careful, you'll wear out your hyphen key! Seriously though, I apologize if the language at the link was offensive. I added a warning to my post, which I should have included originally.

But even so, does "Surfers" really require redaction?

Yeah, not exactly on-topic. But I probably will buy a K-3 at some point, so I don't have much else to contribute.

OK, I gotta ask, why are you guys keeping this horrible thread going? I keep thinking, it can't die too soon. The OP has never returned, the original topic was a troll. Someone should just start a thread "The thread about nothing" and go with that.

I thought this WAS the thread about nothing.

I was also annoyed that the thread kept popping up after about a week, then I actually started reading the later comments, and saw that it had become some sort of Dada-esque exercise in NOT responding to the OP's concern.

...OCD...

...because it is more fun than hanging out on the various "I want FF now" threads...

...because we were poorly trained by our parents...

Sorry, last week's "Andy Kaufman faked his death; wait, no he didn't; nope, he's still dead - OR IS HE?" news stories had me surfing Wikipedia, and I somehow landed on Surrealism and Dada. Then there was another story on Picasso, which somehow led to Salvadore Dali, which lead back to Surrealism and Dada again. Google has developed an annoying tendency to only take me where I've already been.

I'm excited about the possibilities of this thread. I have often thought that maybe, just maybe someday I could invent something that does nothing at all, but does it really, really well!

Soooo...how do we pronounce Ricoh again? If we are going to whine in the night, we might as well be saying the name right.

Based on his posting record he will be back approximately April 10th. So in order to make sure all PF members receive the service they deserve we are trying to keep the thread going until the second coming posting.

I do like cheese but my doctor has informed me that unless I stop eating it my risk of heart attack and stroke is increased 10 fold. I asked him if I could just take a pill. He was not amused......
