I confess to not having read the entire thread. Sorry if I'm repeating an already proposed idea!

Now, THIS is why I won't shop there. The Bed and Bath part, I can handle, but the "Beyond" is messed up.

fist came "Asahi" who made camera model name Pentax
then came "hoya" who made camera model name Pentax
then came "ricoh" who made camera model name Pentax

pentax is a brand of camera made by three different companies over the last 60 years

To me it tastes similar to beef but with a stronger distinctive flavour that I know is Roo.
Cooking is the easy bit, sneaking up on one during the day is the hard part!

Roo Stew
  • 2kg Kangaroo, cubed
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 medium Onions, chopped
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 Carrots, sliced thick
  • 16 Chat (baby coliban) Potatoes, halved
  • 6 Brussell Sprouts, halved
  • Handful of Button Mushrooms, halved
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 750ml Chicken Stock
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 4 Sprigs Fresh Thyme (if available)
  • Cracked Pepper
Brown kangaroo cubes in a little oil and set aside. Fry onions and garlic - covered for 3 minutes.
Return the kangaroo cubes along with the flour and stir through. Add stock, bay leaves and thyme. Cover and simmer gently for 1 hour. Add the remaining vegetables and cook, covered, for 30 minutes. Uncover and cook, stirring occasionally for a further 10 minutes or until sauce thickens. Season with pepper.

Sweet... sounds delicious... I shall give it a try as soon as I get the chance.
Thanks!

Well then you better get rid of that thing. If it says anything in addition to Pentax on it can't possibly be any good.
At very least, tape over the Asahi. That will improve its performance quite a bit.

I can afford a K-3, but my K-5 is just too good to replace! No, I'm not a two-body person. I still can't afford employing a sherpa!

Oh, sorry, back on topic: manchego viejo accompanied by some slices of jamón ibérico de bellota and a glass of something nice from Rioja.

Still "negotiating". We sort of have a rule against buying something for oneself after November 15th.

My daughter is home from Grad School. She made her famous baked Mac-ie Cheese. Now that's Cheesy! Alas, we must wait until 4pm.

[EDIT: Looks like I'm back to "after December 25th" on ALL deal merch. ]

Selling the LX will break the logjam as far as selling all the stuff I never use, which then puts $1,000's in my PayPal account. The rational plan has always been K3 after February bonus anyway but a lower-dollar K5II (even without the deal price) makes more sense anyway. A year ago I would have been delighted with that camera.

I guess I'm going to become very good friends with Kraft American on white for lunch until then.
