Okay, here it is with a beginning and end and some tweaks in the middle:

'Twas the night before Christmas
and all through The Thread
not a poster was typing-
they'd all gone to bed.

The day-bag was placed
by the chimney with care
in hopes that some new
Pentax gear would go there.

I had carefully laid out
a selection of cheeses
when a sudden loud noise
scared out of me the Bejeezus!

The crashing and banging,
it made my heart flutter.
It was almost as loud
as a K-30's shutter!

There was 'thoomp' from the chimney -
it must have been quite a pinch!
Then this guy tumbled down
and he wasn't The Grinch!

He was moving so fast,
That I got just a glimpse in
But you know, I would swear
he looked like Homer Simpson!

He wore on his back
A red hockey sweater
That needed replacing-
the sooner, the better.

Across the shoulders
The word 'RICOH' was written
in an attractive font -
I was instantly smitten.

On top of his head was
a red Santa hat
that had maybe been clawed
by a highly stressed cat.

And his beard - it was not
so much snowy as gray
and it flowed in a most
un-Kris Kringle-y way

The realization
came to me as a shock
"You're not the real Santa!"
I yelled, "What a crock!"

He jumped, then he saw me
and he weerily smiled.
"No, I'm the new Santa,
but now - don't get all riled."

Then he took off his hat
And he put down his pack
And he helped himself
To my cracker-cheese snack.

Then he gently explained,
"No, I'm not the guy.
I'm somebody else,
and I'll tell you why."

"The ole fellow, he needed
more than a makeover.
And he couldn't fend off
A hostile takeover."

"I know it's depressing,
but that's how it is.
It's sled-dog-eat-dog
in the Santa Claus biz."

"So I'm really sorry,
but I'm not Saint Nick.
Tho' I guess if you like
you can call me 'Saint Ric'."

"I've got some nice stuff,
and I brought some nice things.
Like lenses with neat
quick-shift focusing rings!"

"-and a FullFrame?" I asked,
hardly suppressing my glee.
"No FullFrame, but I've got
a really nice APS-C."

"But Santa, the FullFrame-"
"Look kid," he said,
"These cameras aren't made
out of cheddar and bread."

"I've got the elves working
by day and by night -
which is six months apiece,
up North, amiright?"

"I know there are folks
with a real FullFrame need,
but I've got Ms. Claus
and the reindeer to feed."

"We're working on FullFrame
just as fast as we can.
But we can't throw it out there
without some sort of Plan."

"We're not gonna do it
if we can't do it right
and I hope it's a true Pentax-
made small, tough and light."

Then he picked up his pack
and he brushed off his knees.
Then he cheerfully said,
"Hey kid, thanks for the cheese."

Then with a "Merry Christmas!"
he walked out the door.
(I guess climbing back up
the chimney's a chore.)

So he may not be Santa
and we'll wait and we'll see.
(but we're still gonna wish
for a FullFrame K-3!)
Major talent!.

Just did an inventory and unless I go shopping... Santa will have to do with four cheese "cracker-fulls" and a bottle of 18 year-old Redneck beer.

The top right pixel is a bit weak. Pentax is doomed.

Why do you have decades-old beer that isn't Billy Beer?

I am saving it for my sister.
She made me buy a six-pack of that stuff back then against my recommendation and I want her to finish the last one.
It has been refrigerated all this time.

I know it's not your usual standard, but I had to mention it in fairness to those folks who are considering a K-3. Sorry... hope I didn't pull the thread too far off topic.
