He most likely went and bought into a different system. Thought the grass was going to be greener...

Squirrels, on the other hand, sleeps approx 18 hours a day. That's why they were no where to be seen in this thread - until now, where they after a long and healthy grandpa have woken up on page 142.

And when they're round and about photographing, they really do a lot of fine snapshots.

I read that as "the glass was going to be greener..." and started wondering if that "different system" came pre-installed with Roquefort-derived form of fungus......

Just asked the head feline of the household....she could do with a couple of well-fed squirrels for her new-year feast, if you would be so good as to ship a few her way....

The OP will return (see second point above)
I think we're about ready for a new Resurrection religion here... the Church of the OP... where Steve has served as our Theologian, periodically summarizing our Pantheon (cats, dogs, bunnies, bacon, cheese, waffle, Ricoh, Pentax, Tokyo...)

I have even seen some cargo cultish behavior (from myself): the construction of faux Ricoh branded items, the iconization of seemingly unrelated items, all in the magical hope that these images will hasten the Resurrection of the OP, sent by Takuma Kajiwara to redeem His Brother's Pentax....

How about Devine Church of the Misguided OP.

Commandments

1. Thou shalt not stay on topic.
2. Thou shalt not take the name Ricoh in vain excep in jest.
3.

Feed him a more natural diet: cats are meant to eat raw meat, etc., feeding them industrial food, especially dry food (cats just don't drink enough) is like having a human eat at McD on a daily basis, and that for a lifetime.
My outdoor Tabby - acquired as a kitten from the Ralston Purina test farm to solve a mouse problem - lived for 18 years on a diet of rodents and the occasional helping of rice and cooked chicken. He usually slept in the house but we had to call him in at bedtime. We'd holler, "CAAAAT!!" out the back door and within a minute he'd trot up the steps and into the kitchen. We never really knew where in the house he slept, but we never had mice in that house again. We think they just decided when the cat moved in the neighborhood changed and they all sold and moved out at the same time.

Strangely, he was dog-like and loyal and owned - I mean OWNED - our yard and the dog (as I've written) was a dope. He once tried to filch a helping of rice and chicken from the cat's bowl. Have you ever watched a cat beat the snot out of a dog three weight classes up?

My wife looked at the idiot and said, "Serves 'ya right, dummy."

Oops - stayed away too long.

Cats would be cult royalty. It would never work.

If Ricoh ever prints in Kool-Aid purple we're in deep trouble.

Sort of bluish-green actually...

...of course, that can be corrected in PP.
