Dinner/supper/dinper was Black Pepper Chicken, an old old family tradition that I just made up.

Oh surely there can't be two capitol cities that are that bad. I thought we had that claim all locked up.

Oh, but you two live in the same place, so no contradiction there

Everyone's dinner sounds so good! I'm still subject to hospital food. Tonights delights for the palate were turkey roll, mashed sweet potatoes and chunks of carrot. Needless to say I passed. I think cheese has been banished from here as I haven't seen a decent piece for weeks. As for the bacon it's sliced so thin you can see through it.

I spent four days in hospital in April after I got a hip replacement. Breakfast was the worst. How do you turn a perfectly good piece of bread into a slice of latex that looks like it's been fired in a kiln? Luckily, I had my wife down in Ottawa with me as an escort and she smuggled in real food. You need some smugglers, Ted; aren't there any forum members on the banks of the Red?

We were speaking of state capitols, not the really bad central one.

Does anyone get the sense that this thread has no redeeming social value? It's how a duck must feel, landing on a tar pond. Once your in it, you can't get out and you can't for life of you figure out why.

I landed here and find that this thread has a huge social value, well...at least for me. Where else do you get to interact with such a diverse group of good humored people that are not just stuck on photo-snobbery.

Whoaa easy there!!! Not sure what you mean, this thread has far more social redeeming value than any 10 threads in the rumor section. In fact I believe it has distinct medicinal value as well. When I go to the rumor section, or that other section that begins and ends with 'F' my blood pressure goes up. When I come here it goes down. And it's much cheaper than a doctor visit.

Ok, that I can agree with. Not the duck part, I'm a Beaver fan, but the can't get out part is sure true.

This thread is actually should be held up as an example of what is good and right in society!! It's started it's life as a baby bottle throwing, diaper chafing, lost toy rant!! But then it morphed into something totally unrelated and free of all restrictions save one! NO BABIES! Positive thought has won the fight and now owns this thread!!!! And it has had a positive effect elsewhere, I've noticed humor in other threads where there should only be growling and grumping!!
What a beautiful way to start 2014!
Joel
P.S I think "Dumb Ways to Die" is very socially redeeming!!!
