Probably true. With the possible exception of the 35-70 and the 24-50 none of those are remarkable. I do like the 70-210 but honestly it's not in the same ball park as the 60-250. The primes on the other hand hold their own rather well. The 28mm is excellent and so is the 50mm. I have not really tested the 50mm macro enough yet, it just came this week. I would really like to get a copy of the 135mm but every one I've seen has gone for silly money.
well, there is F 135 on AU eBay right now:

Certainly not optional when going to Culver's! Double Butter Burger with cheese and bacon!!(sigh) Even at 5am it sounds good!!
Okay, you were doing fine in this thread until you mentioned Culver's. I've tried them twice. I don't know what their secret is, but they're the only burgers I've ever eaten that were completely devoid of flavor. Hm, maybe if I had gotten bacon on them they would've had some taste.

Culver's. The single most unimpressive burger I ever ate. Not even sure bacon could save that one.

@Ex. Finn:

One of the Candidates there present hangs out most of her time at Tawes Hall in College Park. Thought you should know.

That's a bitter pill for a UVa. grad, but then maybe Sweet Briar, Miller, Khakis and Topsiders™ explain the grades.

After due reconsideration, I actually didn't marry smart - that was an unintended consequence. I actually married New England Macaroni and Cheese Casserole.

Well, we have 7 days before this thread is 3 months old. Only 459 posts to go to make 3,000. Should be a piece of cake. Cheesecake, of course!

Hmmm. I wonder how bacon cheesecake would taste.................................

to get back on topic, I won't buy a K3 until after I buy the gf a set of golf clubs to replace her starter set.

she's become a golf addict and I have to get her a "real" set of clubs so she can start working on refining her game.

she wants to break 100 by the end of 2014.

hopefully that will be just enough delay to see what CES and a couple other shows bring in terms of product announcements.

i'm desperately hoping to put off buying a K3 long enough to see what the next product release will be. I bought a K5iis in Nov 12 because my K20 was obsolete.

but I can't afford to buy a new body every 18 months. I also can't afford to keep using my K5iis and miss critically important shots because of its horrible AF system.

oh the quandary.

so I won't be buying a k3 at least until april

Best be hoping she doesn't break 100 before April. Shame to miss those drives if she does. K3 tracking AF is SO MUCH BETTER than K5IIs @8.3 FPS you could capture the entire swing, club-head in-focus the whole way, with 100% keeper rate.

Or you could capture the eyes with unerring accuracy and sharpness - no more dinner-plate-sized AF areas.

Or track the flight of the ball while zooming (well that might be going a bit too far).

Better get the camera.

lol...she's only been playing since august 2013 which was first time she ever picked up a club

she's shooting around 125 on a regulation course from the standard forward tees, so she won't be breaking 100 for a little while.

so for now I've promised no K3 until April.

I can do it, I know I can.....

I'll be watching closely. We have a zero tolerance policy for that in this thread.

Advice duly noted.

I have a photo trip planned for april 27 to Big Sur/Monterey for a week.

I was thinking around mid april so i'd get atleast one weekend out with the new camera to get a feel for it.
