Ah, so the cheese whiz is out-going, or "in-coming" to civilization. Got it. But why are there strobes around the new Limited lenses? Has Ricoh turned them all into short focus macro? Most disturbed. I like infinity focus occasionally.

Lens? I thought those were innovative new ultra-durable camera bodies!

I am looking at the protuberances with glass on their outer ends. Definition of a lens, I guess. But what kind of flare resistance can we expect from these new Limited lenses? When things go "boom" there is a lot of flare. Or maybe the Daleks only use laser tight lighting on subjects, so flare can only come from, gawd! the sun.

I had a protuberance once, but my ex laughed at it.

I think the thread guidelines prohibit talking about exes, politics, religion or global warming. So we are stuck with cheese.

By the way, the current deal at B&H with a battery grip included on the K3 is very good. But help? Why would I ever need a battery grip if I only shoot <500 images on an outing? Grips seem perfect for pro photographers but I am so far removed from 500 raw images per day that I guess I don't need the grip.

And because the battery grip is the big promotion to convince me the K3 is cheaper, I will not buy a K3. Yet.

I saw that "promo" and said "hmmmmm ..."

All I want for Christmas 2014 is a FF and a lifetime supply of Cheez-Whiz ...

OMG, I dropped the "FF" bomb & cheese together ... oops

Besides battery life, a grip can be useful for balancing a big honkin' lens, or if you shoot a lot in portrait orientation.

But because I don't wish to "get a grip" (despite being told to do so often), I will not buy a K-3.

Couldn't we talk about plans? Monochrome keeps mentioning that Ricoh has a plan.

I fully expect Fumio Urano to quote Blackadder at the next press conference: I've got a plan so cunning, you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel!

Plans are failed hopes. Hopes once in awhile become plans. But I am an old fart and therefore allowed to say such crap!

Exes are always fair game.

Edit previous: Tokyo is doomed. Camera fascination will be replaced by volcano fascination. Godzilla will arise, and the FF option will be lost.
