So where are the 21mm Ltd users who can help me avoid buying a K3? I need help here people, my baby is,getting married and I want backup photos!
I had a 21mm but traded it off 'cause I got an FA24mm. FWIW, I couldn't see much difference in IQ and for some reason I liked the larger size of the 24mm. But then I occasionally use filters, GND and such and the smaller size of the 21 is sometimes problematic here. And the funny little hood baffled me. But overall, it is a wonderful little jewel that will work for you.

So far I have advice to buy the 21mm and pocket cash each week so I can get a K3. Disclaimer: cash hidden in sock to date equals lens cost but rate of increase is too slow. If I forgo the 21 and buy the K3, then I will have to pay $210 more for the HD21mm later when I need it. And,I will need it.

Please, this is about having the kit to capture my daughter's wedding and if,what I now own, with a K30, will work without adding the 21mm Ltd and/or the K3. Assume that cost is not an issue, because I will be in debt from this wedding until minotaurs rule.
Some 50 pages ago there was something about buying a K-3 with a 77 and saving $600. That $600 buys a K30 or a lens, much better investment. Then you actually save whatever the selling price is, or it goes towards the wedding. Seriously. Bacon hors devours. Cheese on crackers. Pigs in blankets. This also is why I won't buy a K-3/

It does. This thread. It replicating. Like dust bunnies. And new versions of old Canikons. And single, unmatched socks that appear like magic in the dryer.

Is THAT where they go. The other one always appears in the bottom of my clean laundry basket.

Too many variables. I hate complex bundles containing stuff I do not want. The current K3 bundles are perfect examples. What would I do with a 50mm kit lens when I already have a better 50? Why would I pull the trigger on a package with a battery grip when I have never depleted two batteries in a shoot? I only want the camera body. At a lower price.

Your photos are good and make me convinced that I should (not must) get the 21mm Ltd. Great shots that inspire me, thank you.

Already have the K30. Do not need the FL of the Lenses you list. I love my K30 and am aware of its shortcomings vs. the K3. Hence the reason for my Help query:"do I need a single lens (21mm Ltd) or a new camera body (K3) to cover my daughter's wedding, not interfering with the pro, no flash.

Again, I already have 15mm Ltd, 35 Ltd Macro, 50 mm Sigma f.1.4, 70mm Ltd, 18-135 andm55-300 zooms. I am looking for advice, from you who have actually shot a wedding as a Participant.

Careful, John, you're close to committing heresy against the Universal Law that clearly states you can't take such awesome shots with a lens that is slower than f/1.4 and not razor-sharp to the furthest edge (not to mention APS-C).

I'm fond of my DA-21, and its small size and FoV frequently make it my stay-on-the-camera lens. I haven't really gotten an "eye" for it yet, to my great shame...

Nester, have you ever photographed a wedding, as a participant? That question combined with answers about lenses used, is what I am asking. Appears I did not make this clear previously. Will a K30 perform in low light conditions with DA LTD lenses, with subjects moving less than what 1/600 shutter is needed? I assume ISO 800 or more to capture the, images. So in all of your experiences, wedding reception and, small chapel, what lenses shall I bring.

This is not a difficult, question. It comes down to whether or not the DA 21mm Ltd should be in in my bag that day. I have never owned, or shot, the 21. The 15mm,rules my mind.
