And on topic, I dont see why its a big deal for it to say Ricoh on it, its a good camera that I can put K lenses on, still at its heart is a pentax. I am happy.

Just remember a Ricoh XR500 (pretty basic SLR) was what got me into K-mount club. By the time for my MX I already had two other lenses (one was adaptall2 the other a fixed K-mount) so I was locked into the system - no Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Fuji, Minolta, Leica, Konica, or almost anything else in those days would fit the extra lenses I had - so here I am.

For me it was the XR2S.

And the rest is history!
