We're hosting a student from Beijing and I was showing her something on the web. She was very polite of course but I could see her thinking "Internet connectivity in the U.S. is a joke." So that's today's reason why I won't buy a K-3--my connection is too slow.

I won't be buying or needing a K3.

Why you ask?

Because I decided to take advantage of the lowered prices on the soon to be discontinued K5IIs. That's right kids. Racer is gonna get a K5IIs. It should be on my doorstep when I return home from my current lap of North America.

I'm like, "totally stoked man!"

I won't be needing no K-3. I've found it's much cheaper, and very close in image quality, to just make a script to change the exif from K-5 to K-3.

I won't buy a K-3 because it is probably a Tamron rebadge.

I suppose I can agree with some of that, but USA is not the only country good at this stuff, it is done worldwide and the Canadians are pretty damn good at it too. From what I am seeing Norway is kicking everyone's butt right now.

We're definitely better at horisontal skiing than that downhill thing. Even if we bag some of those as well.

And we don't do summer sports

Btw, would be much nicer if we could look at Olympic medals per citizen Well, maybe number of people behind each medal is easier to read

They don't have summer up there do they?

I still won't be getting a K3, even if they do.

Of course we have the green winter! Actually, summer can be pleasantly warm up here. Not every year, but it happens. Last year was great, several weeks above 20 C and lots of sunshine. At least in the southern part of the country. I remember back in '97 we had 35 C in Oslo!

So, short but sometimes very, very nice. So there!

It's not cold, it's warm! Or about 68 F. And 35 is about 95 F - so don't come here with cold

(And if pose the question (which is not a question) "20 c in f" dr. google will tell you )
