I only buy lenses that read ASAHI/PENTAX. Maybe the K3 should read PENTAX/RICOH.

The OP has not posted since starting this Behemoth of thread. But he is still lurking, checked his profile, he shows last activity as 2/10/14, last Monday.
Are you saying that the OP has (secretly) returned and we, the faithful, were not aware? Woe!

Do as I do. I have black tape on the leica logo to avoid the camera being stolen. I would put tape on the PENTAX logo, so it looks like a Ricoh, no body will steal it.

Yeah, I thought about you while I worked around a big rig stalled in the middle of the street. He even had his chains on, but I guess that doesn't do much good if the engine quits.

A big rig "driver" stalled with chains on.
What the hell WAS he using the chains for in a little dusting and sleet.
edit: one more reason for not getting the K3. Stupid drivers wasting chains and tearing up asphalt for no good reason.
Must have been this guy

When it gets so bad that chains are needed I find a place to hide out. Not worth the risk.

I thought the same when I saw the chains, but by 4:30, the unplowed roads (I saw ZERO plows outside of a certain suburb that has a reputation for being a bunch of fer'ners and yankees) were hard-pack with some nice freezing rain coming on top of it. On the hills, chains would have been nice.

Of course, since everyone guessed wrong and left work at the same time just as it started coming down good, next time all the businesses will close a week in advance. I was lucky to have a meeting, so I just waited until everyone else had gotten home or abandoned their vehicles. There was a slight panic when the snack machine lost power, but we had a plan to shoot out the lock if necessary.

Not so much a misquote as a sideways and extremely appropriate reference. Kudos to the playwright! (It may not be clear, but the statement was made by More in reference to Rich.)

Yup. The line is apocryphal but the embodiment of historical fact.

I don't get it Moderators can't close this thread.

I understand Pentaxians are passionate. But seriously this thread is plain lunatic.

Jim was promised a free K3 if he could get the world record for the longest thread.

I can't buy one because I haven't killed my k1000 yet.

Yeah, and that's why I won't buy one. Actually, I just want to set the forum record, but the K- (Where does it go after 1?) might be out before we beat the Takumar and 300mm clubs.

Then agian, at an average of about 125 posts per day, maybe not.
