You can use them for soccer balls if you run out of curled-up aardvarks or armadillos. And they make excellent road-kill.
Maybe people were afraid it would put the Captain and Tennille song in everyone's head.
Go ahead. Just try to get it out of your mind now!

I take back my statement that the contributors to this thread are generally not mean or cruel.

You have different coloured wheels: are they like space savers that most cars (automobiles) have these days?

No spares for that old machine.

The previous owner pulled those wheel ends apart. The rear ones to reline the brakes (it only has brakes on the rear set), the front to clean, lube and adjust the bearings. Apparently he felt the need to paint them.

Of course he didn't use machinery yellow, and he didn't prep them well, and the paint is peeling.

I put new tires on it shortly after I bought it. 6 new tires (installed) cost as much as I paid for the thing, $3,000. The tire shop sent a kid out to do it, his boss told him it should be a 2 or 3 hour job. He wrestled with one tire for about 6 hours. They were the original tires, and the beads were rusted to the wheels. After getting one off he called the shop and they sent 3 other guys out.

The first guy showed up at about 8am.

They finally got the last one on at about midnight.

I don't think the boss understood me when I told him the thing was almost 60 years old.

What's the Forum post count relative to a normal day? I think the entire Forum must be snowed in or disconnected from the Internet. For isntance, the number 10 poster (Jean Poiters) as of 11:00 am CST is a . . . . . . . 7 posts.

Sorry! Had to get back and forth from work (once the snow melts and refreezes, we also don't know how to drive on ice), get some sleep, feed the snow possums...

What did I miss?

Ugh ... what ... me?! Wadda I do this time ?! ... was "reading up" on the last few pages à la Evelyn Wood Super-Scroll-Style ... Please don't put me back on "double-secret" probation.

Not slacking ... just busy with real life from time to time ... and no time to get a K-3 either !

PS - So hot in Poitiers that at 5:30 PM (while driving Marianne to her swimming lesson), I rolled down the windows of the Kangoo and turned off the heater ! And to think we are on the same latitude as Montreal ... go figure.

It wasn't the video. Everyone was out scrambling trying to find something for Valentines.

BTW...The Captain and Tenille are splitting the sheets That in itself should be enough reason to not buy a K-3.

The law says that after 11 hours of driving/14 hours on duty I must take a 10 hour break.

An uninterrupted 10 hour break.

OK.

Done.

Back to the post who.....er, thoughtful and intuitive discussion. Yeah, that's it!

Discussion.

That's the ticket!

And who wants a K3 with hociR on the back?

Not me!

After 34 years we ask each other if there is something in particular we can offer as a Valentine present. She asked for a new shower head.

So off I went to Lowes and got a nice all-brass and aluminum and chrome 3-spray shower head. It is as close to a Takumar shower head as I can get.

Wow ... I do not know how Henry Kissinger did not vomit on the spot while listening to this wonderful C&T song ... and OMG, and what did the "Royals" think of this one?!
